Arizona State University Plans to Cut 81 Jobs
Arizona State University plans to phase out 81 jobs. The cuts are part of the State Legislatures statewide attempt at downsizing and close in on a $2billion dollar deficit. ASU officials say that faculty jobs and classes are safe, but positions like deans, department chairs and administrative-support positions will be let go. The Arizona Board of Regents still need to approve the cuts. ASU hopes to cut its budget by $22.6 million dollars this school year.
